After working as an actor on the stage, film and television, appearing in amongst other things Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels, Nick directed his first film, THE REAL NOTTING HILL: a half hour drama devised with a group of excluded 15 year olds in West London. The film went on to be screened on Channel 4, was nominated for a Bafta and won the best film award at the Portobello Film Festival. In 2001 Nick founded Latimer Films, a production company specialising in making films with and for disadvantaged young people. He has directed and produced films for a variety of clients including Channel 4, ITV, The British Film Council, Sky, The Community Channel, Transport for London and Nickelodeon TV. He is currently in post-production on AMY’S STORY, a documentary about young careers for Media Trust Productions and is filming a contemporary version of the Oliver Twist story devised with a group of young people in care. The film, funded by the British Film Council, is set to premiere at the Electric Cinema in June.
Met Film have really got under the skin of the John Lewis Partnership and have invested time in understanding our business and our culture, reflecting that well in the Partnership Spirit, and other videos they've produced for us. They 're also a pleasure to work with, always professional, on time and on budget, and good humoured with it.
